First Snow Fall

First snow fall of the year is the most beautiful. It is what I look forward every year. I am very happy that it did not accumulate since it would have been really hard to drive. I ended up dropping Ryan off to his work early today. I got up at 5:25 a.m. to get ready. My car did not start the day before, so we are going to have it fix. The van just got the new tires, but we still want the transmission taken cared of before we use it. We also dropped it off earlier at the transmission place while we just got the sable back.

Around 3:30 p.m. earlier, Frankie and I picked up his Dada. He was so happy that we went and picked him up. While at home and in the kitchen, Frankie put together a snacks for his dada. He placed it in his lunch box and took it with us in the car. When he saw his Dada approaching the car, he was so excited. Ryan was also very happy to see him in the car too because he wasn’t expecting him to be in there. He kept asking his Dada how his day was. Frankie kept thanking me for picking up his dada and for letting him come along.

My 33rd Birthday

I celebrated my 33rd birthday with the family yesterday. We went to church early, and I asked Ryan to take me home instead of going places. We have been eating out during the holiday weekend and I am not too happy with my sugar. I have so much food in the refrigerator that I already prepared long time ago that is why I wanted to go home. I was just very happy that we went to church. That afternoon, Ryan asked me if I wanted to go to the mall but I declined. I was so exhausted that I just want to lie down. Frankie accompanied me and sung some songs for me too.

Early that evening, I decided to get up and get some ice cream, cake, and chicken. I don’t want mama to cook anymore. We ate dinner together and that pretty much ended my birthday. Ryan and I stayed till almost midnight talking about our future and school and about anything. I had a lovely birthday. I got some cards from family and friends and that made me happy. Looking forward to another year and thanking God for all the the blessings.

Saturday Shopping

I really thought we are done with shopping for Christmas. We already spent quiet enough at Kohl’s, and I thought that was it. Ryan still wants to get Frankie stuff, so we ended up going to Bradley. He got him three more stuff and I told Ryan that it should be it. I don’t want to overwhelm Frankie with gifts especially now that he knows what it going on. I don’t want him to expect so many every year. Frankie only asked for two things really, but it is his Dada who wants to get him more. Sometimes he feels bad that we do not get him enough especially that he is our only son and I kept telling him that Frankie doesn’t know. He already got enough toys in his room, and he is very contended with it.

I am sure Santa will give Frankie what he wants this year. One of the things he has been asking Santa was a “cars wallet”. Ryan and I found one along with a belt and I got really excited. He will be very happy to see it. We also decided to put the Christmas tree up and Frankie had a good time putting the ornaments that he made from preschool last year. Mama, Ryan, and Frankie help fanned out the branches. I just sat there and watch them and take some pictures. We used some of the ornaments last year, and we are about to put up Ryan’s baby ornaments too. We still needed a few things, so we stopped hanging the ornaments. Hopefully, I will have the time to go to the store one of these days, so we can finally finish it.

Black Friday

I was hesitant to leave the house today. I don’t feel like shopping, but I was afraid that if I wait long I won’t be able to get everything that I wanted since I am sure I will be home bound approaching Christmas. The weather was so beautiful too and I wanted to take advantage of it. Ryan didn’t want to come with us because he is still feeling sick, so mama and I went and met up with another friend at Kohl’s. Kohl’s is having the $15 Kohl’s cash every $50.00, so I also wanted to take advantage of that. Ryan also got rid of our old Christmas tree early this year, so I also decided to get one while there.

It was very busy there today. We couldn’t even find an empty shopping cart. Good thing, one of my co-workers saw me and managed to grab me a cart. Ryan and I already marked what we wanted to buy, so it was so much easier for me to get. We also pre-shopped with mama before, so there was no more shopping around. We just grabbed what we needed and leave. The line was a little long, but there were a lot of cashiers, so it went by really fast. I was so happy with the amount of Kohl’s cash that I got because I can surely use it to buy Frankie some outfits for his Christmas pageant and some outfit for mama. I also wanted to get a pair of maternity pants yesterday, but when I looked at the price and the amount of time that I will be able to use it, I changed my mind. I only have over a month left. I may have to keep wearing my jeans to church and to parties that are coming up. I just do not want to spend for it.

A few days ago, I bought mama a new winter coat. She wore it once and was complaining that it was not heavy enough and she still felt really cold. I really like that coat because it was made of wool, so I decided to get her another one yesterday and we switched. The coat that I have is already torn in some places and it was time for it to change. She looked so happy and I am glad she liked everything I got for her.

Above is the first coat I got mama. She tried it on and we both liked it. Unfortunately, it is not good enough for her. The one below is what I got her yesterday. I hope it will work-out for her.

Photos above were grabbed from Kohls.com

Trying Out WordPress

I have always dreaded blogging using WordPress because I have used Blogger before. Thanks to Mabelle, she got me started. After playing around for a little bit, I was able to figure simple things out. It is actually not as hard as I thought it would be. Replacing the templates/themes is not that bad either. I also like how I could upload as many templates as I like and switch them every now and then. I searched online for templates and there were a few that I really liked, but  the header included some pictures in it. I wanted to replace it, but it is not by itself and deleting it would mean also deleting the header. So, I settled for what you see now.

I will try to keep this up especially with the new baby coming up in January. I am so excited to see him and sometimes I wish he will come a little early. I am having issues with my health right now and taking medications, but I will reserve that for another entry later. I want to say “Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone” and be thankful for what you have, and for those who do not have today, remember that it happened for a reason.
